Edwards Hart have been appointed to lead on a pilot study to accredit builders in Wales for the Federation of Master Builders. It involves the development of accreditation scheme options based on the views of stakeholders representing the industry and also those representing clients, the building professions and consumers. Accreditation is a way of driving up standards through assessment and recognition of competence alongside training and qualifications. As well as the normal professional building and property related work such as conducting surveys and assessing the thermal performance of buildings, Edwards Hart are at the forefront of developing competence and up skilling in the industry. This includes up skilling further education lecturing staff in sustainability and leading on a pilot to get sustainability skills into mainstream craft apprenticeships alongside this pilot accreditation scheme. The Edwards Hart team also includes research consultants Pye Tait.
