National Trust Building Surveyors will receive training led by Edwards Hart on a new 2 day course that is also open to others by booking with the Environment Study Centre. This is the only course of its kind that delivers a real qualification and is independently accredited by the Scottish Qualification Authority which is internationally recognised. It takes place all over the UK and primarily at National Trust properties. Over two days participants will get to understand traditional buildings and how best to treat them. Course leader John Edwards said: “It’s about sustainability, energy efficiency and retrofit”. John added: “I’m so pleased to have the National Trust on board and we must remember that they may have many wonderful mansions, but they also have about 5,000 ordinary small traditional homes which are just like the other 6 million or so traditional buildings in the UK”.
