EH have provided a comprehensive package of services in taking Llanelly House from a restoration project into a fully operational heritage visitor attraction complete with restaurant function rooms, retail, tours and exhibitions.
The Grade 1 Listed House was in a very poor state when it was runner-up on the 2003 BBC2 Restoration series. Since then it has been painstakingly restored to its former glory by the Carmarthenshire Heritage Restoration Trust.
At EH we understand how a building and its operations will work. We can assist at all stages of the project and use our expertise to provide optimum well balanced solutions. At Llanelly House our service has included setting up and management of operations and facilities management and ensuring that the project is properly completed to suit the most appropriate management of the building. This has also included recruitment of staff, supporting the launch and other high profile visits, team building and training, health and safety including fire and food safety and general risk assessments, development of processes and procedures, procurement, commercial activity and providing interim management and marketing.
Llanelly House now represents one of the finest examples of a Georgian architecture and is recognised as a quality visitor attraction scoring high praise from its users.
This service has been led by Sally Edwards, who has a wealth of experience in visitor and venue management. Sally says “It has been an absolute pleasure to work for the Trust and with the fantastic team at Llanelly House, everyone is immensely passionate about the House and there is a real can-do spirit at every level”.
